Computerised Fashion designers in the fashion industry use computer software to make portrayals, sketches and other designs used to create garments, adornments, shoes, accessories, and more. They utilize the software to create prototypes for clients, businesses people, and employers or for designs that will eventually become a part of their own private accumulations. Computerised Fashion designing or “CAD” (Computer-aided designers) is fast becoming the future of sketching in the fashion industry. A growing number of fashion designers translate hand sketches to the computer, which allows designers to view designs of clothing on virtual models and in various colours and shapes. This saves time by requiring fewer adjustments of prototypes and samples later. It is virtually difficult to acquire a position as a computer-aided designer without creativity and technical knowledge. They must have advanced knowledge of Computerised Fashion Designing software other qualifications are just as important. Manual sketching ability is still essential as well as a sense of balance and proportion and an eye for colour and detail. Since Computerized Fashion Designing is winding up increasingly well known in the fashion industry, aspiring designers with Computerised Fashion Designing experience will probably have a larger number of opportunities than designers without it.

 

Eligibility Criteria for B. Voc in Computerised Fashion Designing

  • Students who have completed plus two are eligible to get admission in the B. Voc in Computerised Fashion Designing course generally.

  • Students who have qualified SSLC and completed one year of BSS Diploma in Computerised Fashion Designing are eligible to get admission in first year of the B. Voc in Computerised Fashion Designing course. (first semester).

  • Students who have completed Plus Two and one year BSS Diploma in Computerised Fashion Designing are eligible to get admission to the first year of the B. Voc in Computerised Fashion Designing course. (first semester).

 

Course Duration

  • Three years for those who enter into the course generally.

  • Candidates who have completed relevant and equivalent course are possible to get admission through lateral entry scheme (For further reference check Eligibility criteria section).
