Logistics and Supply chain is the vital factor of a company’s domain such as E-Commerce, FMCG, manufacturing and retailing. The organization needs the service of a logistics and supply chain professional to make their products and services available to customers. Henceforth, the demand of trained logistics and supply chain professional is increasing day by day.

Logistic manager is responsible for the distribution and storage of supplies and materials in a company. They plan routes, analyze budgets and process shipments. They are also known as supply chain mangers.

 

Eligibility Criteria for B. Voc in Logistic & Supply Chain Management

 

  • Students who have completed plus two are eligible to get admission in the B.Voc course generally.

  • Those who have qualified SSLC and completed two years of BSS Diploma course in Logistic & Supply Chain Management are eligible to get direct admission to the second year of B. Voc course (3rd semester).

  • Students who have completed Plus two and two years of BSS Diploma course in Logistic & Supply Chain Management are eligible to get direct admission to the third year of B. Voc course (5th  semester).

 

Course Duration

 

  • Three years for those who enter into the course generally.

  • Candidates who have completed relevant and equivalent course are possible to get admission through lateral entry scheme (For further reference check Eligibility criteria section).

 

Job Duties

 

  • Buyer, Purchaser or Purchase Manager: You identify and select new suppliers, negotiate deals and evaluate existing suppliers.

  • Operations Planner or Production Coordinator: You manage production schedules, forecast the future needs of supplies and coordinate those requirements with other departments.

  • Inventory Specialist: You are responsible for the level and quality of inventory, monitor and optimise the inventory flow and the processes in distribution centers.

  • Transportation Coordinator: You handle relationships with logistics carriers and ensure that products get delivered on schedule.

  • Supply Chain Manager: Depending on the industry and company, this role might combine many of the responsibilities listed for the other job titles above.

 

B. Voc in Logistic & Supply Chain Management: Who should opt?
