B.Voc in CAD/CAM programme is a specialization in operation, use and application of computer software to create design for a variety of industries. It is aimed at building drafting skills in electronic structures. B.Voc in CAD/CAM imparts, through a holistic curriculum, skills to apply computer and scientific principles to solve problems related to manufacturing.

Candidates interested in learning the discipline at an advanced level with sufficient knowledge of computer- based tools, techniques and methods employed in product- designing may opt for this program. The course is suited for candidates with potential to develop the product in the R&D section of the industry in a shorter time while gaining a substantial foothold in the market.

Eligibility Criteria for B. Voc in CAD/CAM Programme

• Students who have completed plus two are eligible to get admission in the B.Voc course generally.

• Those who have qualified SSLC and completed one year of BSS Diploma course in CAD/CAM Programme are eligible to get admission to the B. Voc course.

• Students who have completed Plus two and one year of BSS Diploma course in CAD/CAM Programme are eligible to get direct admission to the second year of B. Voc course (3rd   semester).

Course Duration

• Three years for those who enter into the course generally.

• Candidates who have completed relevant and equivalent course are possible to get admission through lateral entry scheme (For further reference check Eligibility criteria)

CAD/CAM: Career Prospects

Successful postgraduates of the course are hired in

• Agricultural Organizations 

• Space Research Institutes etc.
