The main aim of B.Voc in First aid & Nursing course is to train students about first aid, emergency medical procedures and trauma care. The training turns them into skilled first aid and medical emergency technicians.

Eligibility Criteria for B.Voc in  First Aid and Patient Care or B.Voc in  First Aid and Nursing

 

  • Students with Plus two qualification can apply for this B.Voc or B.Sc course.

  • Students who completed plus two and two years of BSS diploma course in First Aid and Patient Care are eligible to get direct admission to the third year of this course (5th semester)

  • Those who have qualified SSLC and two years of BSS diploma course in First Aid and Patient Care are eligible to get direct admission to the second year of this course (3rd  semester)

  • Students who completed plus two and one year of BSS diploma course in First Aid and Patient Care are eligible to get direct admission to the second year of this course (3rd semester)

  • Those who have qualified SSLC and one year of BSS diploma course in First Aid and Patient Care are eligible to get direct admission.

 


Course Duration


 

  • Three years for those who enter into the course generally.

  • Candidates who have completed BSS diploma course in  First Aid and Patient Care get admission through lateral entry scheme (For further reference check Eligibility criteria section)

 

Job Oppurtunities

 

Both Government and Private sector job opportunities are available in front of the graduates in first aid and nursing. Here are some of the main recruiters –

 

  • Government hospitals

  • Private hospitals

  • NGOs

  • Nursing homes

 

Professionals may done the following roles –

 

  • First Aid technician

  • Emergency Care technician

  • Trauma Care technician

  • Medical Emergency Team technician

 

Salary Details

 

Starting salary of a professional in first aid and Nurisng depends upon a number of factors. Some of the prominent factors are –

  • Institute from which the candidate completed the course

  • Job location

 

On an average, starting salary could be anywhere between 8-15K INR per month. In case of a Government job, the salary will be as per the pay scale and grade. Abroad, the salary is much higher than what it is in India.

 

Advance course
